Public parks are among my favorite things. Plants and green spaces right in the middle of urban sprawl? Yes please. The Vondelpark in Amsterdam is MASSIVE: 120 acres of grass, water features, plants, and playgrounds, planted in an already beautiful capital city. Lacey and I got to hang out there for an afternoon, and weContinue reading “Lacey in Vondelpark”

An Amsterdam Adventure
My family is moving back to the U.S. this summer after six years of living in Germany, and I’ve been realizing how many places I HAVEN’T been yet, even though they’re super close. Although I’ve flown through the Amsterdam airport and everyone in my family has been, somehow I hadn’t actually “done” Amsterdam–until this summer!Continue reading “An Amsterdam Adventure”
An Adventure in Paris!
My best friend and I spent a couple weeks traveling in Europe to celebrate our graduation in May, and we spent three days in Paris! Katie!
When my beautiful little sister got her braces off yesterday, we celebrated with a quick mini session outside the orthodontist’s office! Look at that gorgeous smile 🙂

Can’t top this trip
A few days of spring break well spent road tripping to Switzerland to visit the highest point in Europe, the Jungfraujoch. The Alps are perpetually stunning.
Guys, I want a castle.
Spring break was spent gallivanting around Europe and touring German castles, getting design ideas for our future home from the ruins of Rheinfels and the interestingly mixed architecture of Drachenfels.
now I want to move to Italy.
Italy won me over with bread, olive oil, seafood, pasta, and sunsets on our family vacation to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.
’twas the season.
Back in Deutschland for the holidays, featuring Christmas markets in Bonn and Cologne, plus bonus family time.
