Alex spent four years pouring his life and time into two things: football and academics. He is a student-athlete, a future doctor, and an incredible, brilliant young man. I’m so glad he agreed to wake up for a very early morning photoshoot with me to celebrate our graduation from Duke in May.

Jordan: Class of 2017
Graduation is a major life milestone, and major life milestones deserve pictures. My good friend Jordan graduated from Duke with a degree in linguistics, so he’d be much better at writing something eloquent to put here. I never would’ve gotten through my four years at Duke without friends like Jordan, and I’m so excited toContinue reading “Jordan: Class of 2017”
Visitors in Durham
My cousin and his AWESOME girlfriend came to visit me in Durham for a weekend this spring! We had a blast and beautiful weather. Activities included food at Dame’s Chicken and Waffles (their gluten free menu is lacking, unfortunately), a walk in the gardens, and a local carnival that we happened to drive past onContinue reading “Visitors in Durham”
Jaime!
I’ve been dying to use some bright flowers to add depth and color to a portrait, and a good friend of mine and a conveniently placed rose patch gave me the perfect opportunity on an otherwise gray May day. Thanks for humoring me with this mini session, Jaime!
Lauren & Jonathan: Headshots
With real life looming after graduation, it seems like everyone suddenly has a professional corporate headshot instead of a profile picture on Facebook. I was fortunate to get to hang out with my brilliant cousin and her equally brilliant boyfriend to grab a few quick shots of each for applications and their portfolios as ~realContinue reading “Lauren & Jonathan: Headshots”
campus lens

I have an extra appreciation for campus right now as I’m heading into graduation and the decision of whether or not I’llContinue reading “campus lens”
Funny people practicing
Part of my campus job is to photograph and highlight on-campus events, spread awareness of campus offerings, and encourage students to attend events. I showed up about an hour and a half early to a joint show between an improv comedy group and an a capella group, and caught part of their rehearsal! Theater lightingContinue reading “Funny people practicing”
Reading in the Gardens
Any true senior year victory lap has to include reading in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, just because it’s sunny and we’ve learned how to procrastinate without really losing points on our homework.

West Union at Duke University
I spent Summer 2016 marketing the new/old West Union building at Duke University. Fortunately for me, this involved a lot of photography inside a stunning piece of architectural art on a campus I love dearly.
